As Part of the Data Protection Act (GDPR) May 2018 it is now necessary for me to inform you about the information we keep regarding you and your dog, how it is used and stored, and to receive permission to contact you via text/letter/telephone/email.

We store information on each client/dog on a record card/questionnaire.

Details you have given about your dog, your name, addr ess and contact numbers, vets details, your dog’s health needs if any, medication etc, likes dislikes and any behavioural support/issues relevant.

Record cards are maintained as long as you are an existing customer. They are kept in hard copy format only and stored in a cardex box and secured each night in the salon. If you cease to use our services the record cards are archived for a further 12 months then destroyed.

Your dog’s name/breed and your name/contact number are entered into the salon mobile phone to enable us to communicate with you regarding appointments and to arrange collection of your dog on the day and to ensure we have an emergency contact if your dog was to fall ill while in our care. The mobile phone is password protected for security.

We do on occasion photograph dogs in the salon for training purposes or to post on social media, these are used for this purpose only and not forwarded to any other parties.

The Furry Dog Mother Salon will not sell or swap your personal information to other organisations.  The Furry Dog Mother Salon will not use or disclose any information about you to any other party unless we are legally obliged to do so.
